Afraz Mehmood Chaudhry

Afraz Mehmood Chaudhry received the B.E. degree in Electronics Engineering from AIR University Islamabad and the M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology Taxila, Pakistan, in 2006 and 2012, respectively. He started his career as a Load and Dispatch Engineer at the National Power Control Center in Pakistan and then joined the Center of Excellence in Engineering Sciences to conduct research on clean energy convertible systems. The last six years, he has been actively involved in control oriented modeling, Kalman filter design, parameter estimation, model predictive control and  robust control and optimization of clean energy conversion processes and thermal grids. In Feb 2020, he started a PhD at VUB on model predictive control of a smart thermal grid.
