On June 16th 2022, our research group organised a Workshop dedicated to hydrogen use in industry, entitled "Fuelling industry with hydrogen in the energy transition".
Pr. Axel Coussement and Pr. Patrick Hendrick gave keynote lectures on "Hydrogen combustion in industrial equipment and processes" and on the "Safe transport, storage and use of hydrogen", respectively.
Pr. Aurélie Bellemans then chaired a panel discussion on the "Challenges of the industrial use of hydrogen". The three panelists from industry were Nicolas Bourgeois (AGC), Bruno Deremince (Sibelga) and Luc Gooren (ENGIE Laborelec).
With more than 50 participants from academia and industry, this workshop was an excellent opportunity to share views on the future challenges of hydrogen in industrial applications.
