Martin Colla

Martin Colla graduated in 2018 as bio-engineer at Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech (ULiège) with a double degree from Cranfield University (UK) with the master in Renewable Energy Technologies. Martin has previously worked as Market Intelligence Officer within Bioenergy Europe, the European association promoting bioenergy. His tasks consisted in elaborating energy analysis reports helping promoting bioenergy within the energy transition and supporting the advocacy team of the association with technical analyses. In June 2020, he started a joint PhD thesis between VUB and UCLouvain in the framework of the project BEST (Belgian Energy SysTem).

Martin Colla is focusing his research on the technical and economic analyses of synthetic fuels derived from biomass, considering life cycle assessments and the different production routes.
