Muhammad Azam Hafeez
Biography
Muhammad Azam Hafeez received his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, Pakistan, in 2014. He then gained five years of industrial experience in Pakistan. In 2020, he joined the fully-funded Double-Degree master's program in Energy Transition at the EIT InnoEnergy Master School. He completed his master's in 2022, graduating from the Silesian University of Technology, Poland, and Instituto Superior Técnico, Portugal, with a dissertation on "CFD modelling of non-premixed oxyhydrogen combustion under steam dilution using ANSYS Fluent." In the same year, he began working as a PhD researcher at the Aéro-Thermo-Mécanique department of ULB under the supervision of Prof. Alessandro Parente, focusing on data-driven modelling of industrial furnaces to decarbonize combustion-dependent manufacturing in hard-to-abate industries.
