Aysu Ozden
Biography
Aysu Ozden graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Middle East Technical University in 2016. She worked as a propulsion system design engineer for three years in a defense company in Turkey. During the same time, she worked on her Master's thesis in which she focused on observing real gas effects on the performance of a cold gas thruster employing numerical simulations and vacuum condition testing and graduated in 2019. After receiving her Master's degree she continued her studies with the Research Master program of the von Karman Institute by implementing a conjugate heat transfer solver for high-speed flow applications in OpenFoam. Currently, she is attending a joint PhD between the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL). Her research is focused on the implementation of a physics-informed unsupervised classification algorithm and its application to adaptive chemistry simulations.
