Bioenergy is currently the main source of renewable energy around the world and in Europe. As a dispatchable source of heat and power, it will keep on playing a significant role in the future energy landscape. At BRITE, we work on the development of the sustainable and clean valorization of biomass resources. Through advanced characterization, process simulation, lab-tests and onsite measurement campaigns, our researchers develop and optimize thermochemical pre-treatment and conversion processes for small, medium and large-scale applications.
