Marco Lubrano Lavadera
Biography
Marco Lubrano Lavadera obtained his Ph.D. in industrial product and process engineering at the University of Naples Federico II in 2017. His Ph.D. on the combustion chemistry of smart energy carriers was carried out in collaboration with the Institute for Research on Combustion (IRC) of the National Research Council (CNR), where he worked until 2018. From 2018 to 2022, Marco worked at the Division of Combustion Physics of Lund University as a postdoc, and subsequently, he joined the ATM department of ULB, where he has been working since 2022 as a researcher.
Marco's primary research goals are directed toward the understanding of chemical kinetics related to the thermochemical conversion of liquid and gaseous molecules through the combination of experiments and modeling. Other areas that are of interest for his innovative research stem from the ambition of developing analytical models and methods for the design and upgrade of integrated energy and chemicals production systems which are able to utilize low-quality feedstocks such as wastes or industrial by-products.
